A comprehensive list of our membership benefits is set out below.

1. P.O.M.'s Meetings
One of the most beneficial resources for TPOMBA members is the monthly P.O.M.'s meeting. This acronym stands for "Parents of Multiples", although other family and friends are always welcome. You do not need to be a TPOMBA member to participate in these informal meetings.

There are currently twelve P.O.M.'s groups within TPOMBA, with one or more volunteer leader in each group. The P.O.M.'s Leaders are experienced TPOMBA mothers who offer moral support and practical suggestions to parents of multiples. The groups meet monthly, except for the summer months, and usually gather at a member's home. These are evening events, and allow mothers and expectant mothers of multiples to meet and share concerns, ideas, food, and laughter. Each P.O.M.'s Leader maintains phone contact with new and expectant moms, offers support, and informs the M.O.M's Coordinators of any needy member in her group.

The M.O.M's Coordinators are the first point of contact for many for inquiries about TPOMBA. They explain the mission, activities, and services of TPOMBA, and send out an information and registration package to prospective members. They also coordinate activities for the P.O.M.'s Leaders across the many groups, and participate in the monthly executive meetings.

You are encouraged to join the group in your area and participate in the meetings as soon as you know you are expecting multiples. Contact our P.O.M.'s Group Administrator at info@tpomba.org to find the group closest to you. The meetings are an excellent way to obtain information, share worries, gather practical tips, and gain confidence that you will capably handle all of your challenges as a parent of multiples.

2. Warmlines
TPOMBA offers "warmlines" for support to family members in the areas of bedrest, postpartum, bereavement support, single parenting, higher order multiples support (triplets, quads, etc.), breastfeeding, preemies, and special needs children. Your call is always confidential. The members who volunteer on the warmlines are there to listen and provide support based on their own experiences. We do not provide any medical advice. Call if you have a question, concerns, or perhaps just would like to talk to someone who has "been there". The Warmline Contacts are listed in the Bulletwin sent to each Member.

3. Library
The TPOMBA library is an extensive resource collection containing multiple-specific and general parenting books, videos and periodicals. Please see our Library page for more information.

4. Bulletwin
The Bulletwin is the TPOMBA magazine, and is published nine times annually by a dedicated team of volunteers. A professional publication packed with information on club events, stories of members' experiences, and informative articles on multiples, the Bulletwin keeps you in touch with other families experiencing the delights and challenges of caring for multiples. Please click here to go to our Bulletwin page for a sampling of articles from past Bulletwins and to find out about contributing to and advertising in the Bulletwin.

5. Volunteer Placement
TPOMBA recruits community volunteers who come to your home to lend a hand with your multiples. Invaluable help in those early months, the volunteers from the Volunteer Bureau may be students working for their community service credit, seniors or caring individuals who love children. For more information, please go to our Volunteers page.

6. Clothing Sales
The Association hosts a semi-annual clothing sale, in the fall and spring of each year. This is an opportunity for TPOMBA full members and Lifetime Members to buy and sell articles of clothing, toys, books, furniture, and other baby gear. There are a large number of guidelines related to the sale to enable its smooth operation, and these can be found in the Bulletwin before each sale, and on the Clothing Sale page of this web site.

The clothing sales are an opportunity for our members to obtain good-quality items at terrific prices, and to empty their closets and basements of items that are no longer used. It is also a significant source of revenue for our Association.

7. Discount List
A large number of businesses in the GTA and surrounding regions have generously granted discounts to TPOMBA members. Discount providers include retail children's clothing stores, furniture stores, bookstores, diaper services and much more. A copy of our comprehensive Discount List is sent to each TPOMBA member on an annual basis. If you know of any businesses that offer discounts to families of multiples, please contact our Discount Coordinator, Heather Scher, at discounts@tpomba.org

8. Summer Picnic
We like to get together to celebrate how lucky we are to have our multiples! The TPOMBA picnic is held in early summer. All members are invited to join us for free entertainment, crafts, games, snacks and loot bags for the kids.

All of these services are available to TPOMBA members - click here to find out more about Membership Fees and Forms.
